Liquisolid Technology: A Novel Approach for Enhancing Dissolution and Bioavailability

Abstract

The main aim of this method is to enhance the dissolution rate and bioavailability of BCS-II class drugs. The limited solubility of drugs is a challenging issue for industry during the development of the ideal solid dosage form unit. Liquisolid technique is a novel and promising technique to overcome this consequence. This technique is based upon the dissolving the insoluble drug in the non-volatile solvent and admixture of drug loaded solutions with appropriate career and coating materials to convert into acceptably flowing and compressible powders.
